Lamine Yamal (18)
Games – Bulgaria (A), Türkiye (A)
The Euro’s champs have been thrust into a potentially tricky group with Georgia, Bulgaria and Türkiye being far from push overs.
Spain therefore, will look for inspiration from their starboy Lamine Yamal to continue his hot run of form and fire them to the World Cup next summer.
Arda Güler (20)
Games – Georgia (A), Spain (H)
Güler has made an amazing start to the season, providing 1 goal and 1 assist already in the first 3 La Liga games!
Türkiye will be hoping he can carry that form into the World Cup qualifier’s, especially against Georgia, the team against whom Güler has had his finest moment for the national team to date, his wonder strike in the 2024 Euro’s.
The Georgia game will be crucial, with both sides expected to fight for a 2nd place play-off spot behind Spain.
Franco Mastantuono (18)
Games – Venezuela (H), Ecuador (A)
The young Real Madrid talent will harbour hopes of breaking into the Argentina starting XI before next years World Cup.
Scaloni may feel that these last two qualifiers are a perfect opportunity to give Mastantuono some game time! So far he has only featured once for the senior national side, so it is a big chance for the promising talent.
Evan Ferguson (20)
Games – Hungary (H), Armenia (A)
Ferguson has impressed in his first couple of games for AS Roma, looking much more like the star talent that burst onto the scene at Brigthon a couple of years ago.
Irish fans are craving a tournament, can he become Ireland’s main man and fire them to their first World Cup in 24 years!
Désiré Doué (20)
Games – Ukraine (A), Iceland (H)
Doué, along with his PSG and France teammate Ousmane Dembélé were the best players in the Champions League last season, however the former only has 8 apperances and 1 goal for the French national team.
Doué’s main focus this International will be to rectify that, and place himself firmly in Deschamps starting 11 for the forseeable future!
That’s my list of the best young talents to keep an eye on during this international break. Some of them are already making waves, while others are just starting to announce themselves on the big stage — but all of them could be the future of football.
